Seasoning timber naturally in the open air
Splitting the timber into firewood logs
Storing logs in a dry barn
We supply hardwood firewood (a mixture of ash, sycamore and beech) to customers throughout the Peak District and to some parts of Buxton, Chesterfield and Sheffield. Most of the wood is sourced from our own woodlands as a by-product of ongoing forestry management and is fully sustainable. The wood is naturally seasoned and dried, and split into logs 23cm in length - an ideal size for domestic stoves and open fires.
We also sell charcoal. Made on the Estate using no artificial additives and supplied in handy, fully recyclable bags, this is a way of ensuring that the whole tree is used, less wastage. Easily lights without the need for firelighters or fuel and ready to cook on within 15 minutes. Available from Haddon Hall Gift Shop or can be delivered with your firewood.
Softwood (pine, larch) is used for kindling wood, excellent for getting a good fire going - available in bags and delivered with a standard loose load or a minimum of 10 bags.
